L2271. Looking along a single line of the permanent way towards a girder overbridge carrying a road across the London Extension between Ruddington and East Leake, photographed around 1897. Built by Logan & Hemingway as part of Contract No.1 (Annesley to Leake), the structure's lattice work iron parapet is a typical feature of the Last Main Line.
