Bridge 314 - Barnstone tunnel, Nottinghamshire

Bridge 314 - Barnstone tunnel, Nottinghamshire

Go back to the records from the East Leake map.
L2199. A view through the trees towards the north portal of Barnstone Tunnel, a comparatively short structure situated south of East Leake that brought the London Extension under Rempstone Road. Despite this image of apparent dereliction, this section of the Railway is still in use today, both as a freight route and as part of the Great Central North preserved line.
