Bridge 317 - Stanford-on-Soar, Nottinghamshire

L2198. Looking north towards bridge 317, the brick arch structure that was built to carry Stanford Road across the London Extension near Fox Hill, Stanford-on-Soar. When the photograph was taken in December 1977, this single track was a branch from the Midland Line at Loughborough to the military depot at Ruddington. Today, it is in use as both a freight route and as part of the Great Central North preserved line.
