L2188. Looking west towards bridge 322, a brick arch occupation structure that carried the London Extension across a road north of Loughborough. The steel handrails on each side of the picture belong to bridge 323, the girder bridge constructed by the Great Central to span a watercourse running parallel with the Railway. Whilst the Last Main Line had closed some eight years before the photograph was taken, this farm track still appears to be in use.
