Bridge 325 - Loughborough, Leicestershire

Bridge 325 - Loughborough, Leicestershire

Go back to the records from the Loughborough North map.
L2184. This is bridge 325, a girder structure that was built by the Great Central to span a man made watercourse running parallel to the London Extension. Situated between Loughborough and the River Soar, the Last Main Line's construction at the end of the nineteenth century in effect brought an end to the sporadic flooding that had long troubled the town.
