Bridge 326 - Loughborough, Leicestershire

Bridge 326 - Loughborough, Leicestershire

Go back to the records from the Loughborough North map.
L2180. Bridge 326, a girder structure that carried the Last Main Line over Nottingham Road, Loughborough. On the right of the picture is a Midland Railway's notice: when the photograph was taken (September 1977), this plot of land was still thought to belong to the Midland. Note the telegraph poles - haunting relics of the London Extension that remain in place almost eight years after the closure of the Railway.
