Bridge 339 - Woodthorpe, Leicestershire

Bridge 339 - Woodthorpe, Leicestershire

Go back to the records from the Loughborough South map.
L2154. Photographed looking north along the Great Central preserved line in February 1978, this handsome structure is bridge 339, a brick arch overbridge built to carry a footpath running from Woodthorpe to Quorn. Note the telegraph pole: another genuine relic of the Last Main Line that helps to recreate the age of steam.
