L2144. Photographed from beneath the Forest Road girder overbridge in June 1975, this is the view south towards the Great Central station at Quorn & Woodhouse. On the left are the disused sidings, built with the station as an extensive goods yard, but never fully utilised during the lifetime of the Railway. Visible on the right is the covered staircase that led down from the centre of the bridge, bringing people onto the single 'island' platform.
