Bridge 344 - Woodhouse, Leicestershire

Bridge 344 - Woodhouse, Leicestershire

Go back to the records from the Rothley map.
L2135. Looking east at bridge 344, a girder occupation underbridge built to carry the Last Main Line over a farm track near Woodhouse. Despite the rampant foliage that is threatening to hide the abutments, when this photograph was taken the bridge was actually under repair, a rare and somewhat exclusive luxury for relics of the London Extension. Fortunately, this bridge lies on the Great Central preserved line.
