Bridge 346 - An aqueduct near Swithland, Leicestershire

Bridge 346 - An aqueduct near Swithland, Leicestershire

Go back to the records from the Rothley map.
L2132. Looking north along a cutting on the Great Central preserved line towards bridge 346, a small aqueduct that crossed the Railway near Swithland. Visible beyond is bridge 345. Note the single line of permanent way: the eight mile section which the Main Line Steam Trust had rescued after the Line's closure in 1969 was not restored to double track until the 1990s.
