L2129. Photographed in February 1978 looking south east from the banks of Swithland Reservoir, these are the five handsome brick arches of bridge 349. By the time this picture was taken, the Great Central preserved line had successfully rescued an eight mile section of the London Extension. That short slice of history included the stretch across Swithland Reservoir - surely one of the most picturesque sections on the whole of the Last Main Line.
