Bridge 350 - Swithland viaduct, Leicestershire

Go back to the records from the Rothley map.
L2123. Looking north along bridge 350, the brick and girder viaduct that carried the Last Main Line over the southern section of Swithland Reservoir. Two visitors lean on the lattice work iron parapet - a typical feature of the London Extension. This photograph was taken in February 1978: until the 1990s there was only one set of tracks on the Great Central preserved line.
