L2119. Fast disappearing amongst the trees and undergrowth, this wooden gate was once the entrance to the Mountsorrel Railway. This was a branch line which had been built and operated privately by the Mountsorrel quarries, leaving the Great Central Railway at Swithland Sidings, Leicestershire.
