Bridge 355 - Rothley, Leicestershire

Bridge 355 - Rothley, Leicestershire

Go back to the records from the Thurcaston map.
L2105. A view through the trees towards bridge 355, a brick arch structure with a 40 foot span that was built to cross Rothley Brook. Despite the mood of dereliction and decay which this photograph captured in March 1978, the bridge is once again a proud monument of the London Extension, as it now carries the Great Central Railway's preserved line on its way to the Leicester North terminus.
