L2085. This is the ticket office window at Belgrave & Birstall Station, as seen around Easter 1975, six years after the closure of the Line. As with so much of the nineteenth century's railway construction, the Victorians brought a decorative flair and exuberance even to parts of the station that were essentially modest and functional.
