Bridge 365 - Birstall, Leicester

Bridge 365 - Birstall, Leicester

Go back to the records from the Thurcaston map.
L2074. Photographed looking south east in May 1977, this is bridge 365, a girder structure built to carry the Last Main Line over a path near to the Belgrave allotment gardens, Leicester. The original height of the bridge was 15', although the creation of this subway appears to have raised the level of the ground. Note the ubiquitous graffiti, and the capping stones which have doubtless found the attention of local vandals.
