Bridge 367 - Birstall, Leicester

Bridge 367 - Birstall, Leicester

Go back to the records from the Leicester North map.
L2072. Bridge 367 was one of the many plate-girder spans with lattice parapets to be found along the length of the London Extension. It was built just to the south of what is now Beaumont Leys Lane to provide occupation access to the land on either side. However, by the time this photograph was taken in May 1977, the space beneath the bridge had been filled in with rubble and earth. The area on either side is now built up and is part of the Abbey Lane district of Leicester.
