Signal Gantry - Devonshire Road, Leicester

Signal Gantry - Devonshire Road, Leicester

Go back to the records from the Leicester North map.
L2066. This former semaphore signal gantry was situated just to the south of Bridge 369, near Devonshire Road in Leicester. Concrete, steel and timber have all been utilised in the gantry's construction, although it is unlikely that the concrete post is original. Beyond the gantry is Bridge 369 and the Birstall area of the city in the background. The photograph was taken looking north in May 1977
