Bridge 377, 376 and 375 in Leicester

Bridge 377, 376 and 375 in Leicester

Go back to the records from the Leicester North map.
L2031. At the south end of the Great Central's Leicester Goods Yard were three parallel girder bridges that carried the various lines over the Rover Soar. The bridge shown here is Bridge 375 which carried the main running lines, while Bridges 376 and 377 are beyond it - their reflections being seen in the water of the River Soar. The photograph was taken looking east in May 1977. Note the old Leicester power Station chimneys in the distance.
