L2002. This photograph of Bridge 398 was taken from the railway trackbed, just to the north of the bridge. The bridge was made up of two parallel girder spans on brick abutments, with access to Whetstone Station being provided via an entrance in the centre of the southern abutment. The trackbed is quite wide at this point as the two running lines separated to go around the island platform on the opposite side of the central box parapet. Ballast still litters the trackbed, mixed in with the grass. Today in 2003, this bridge no longer exists.
