Bridge 401 near Cosby in Leicestershire

Bridge 401 near Cosby in Leicestershire

Go back to the records from the Whetstone map.
L1994. Bridge 401 is a small occupation underbridge that links the two halves of Cosby Golf Course. Like many of the similar bridges on the London Extension, Bridge 401 had a criss-cross lattice parapet that still survives in this May 1977 view. Even from road level, there is a distinct feeling of abandonment in this view. The bridge has received the attention of 'ROB' and 'DAVE' who have daubed their names on the bridge's deck. Bridge 401 still stands in 2003 but is in a poor condition.
