L1989. Bridge 404 was a brick-arch bridge built over a road leading from Countesthorpe Road to Whetstone Lodge. In this photograph looking east in May 1977, the bridge still stands although some brickwork is missing from the left-hand abutment. The parapet has also been rebuilt at some point in the past. Today in 2003, Bridge 404 is still standing but has lost its brick parapets in favour of tubular handrails. The 'Bramble Walk' now occupies this section of the London Extension trackbed.
