L1987. This 'CATCH POINTS' sign was photographed beneath Bridge 405 on the London Extension in May 1977. The bridge spanned the Midland Counties Railway (later Midland Railway), which had itself closed in the early 1960's and the sign was lying on the MCR trackbed. It is therefore highly possible that the sign could have come from either the Midland Counties or the Great Central line.
