L1977. Bridge 412 was a girder underbridge built over Holt Lane near Ashby Magna. Like many of the similar bridges on the London Extension, Bridge 412 had a criss-cross lattice parapet that still survives in this May 1977 view. This three-quarter view of 412 is taken looking east, with the M1 embankment just visible on the other side of the bridge. Apart from the plant life adorning the brickwork, the bridge looks very much as it did when new, eighty years earlier. Today in 2003, the deck and parapets have been removed although the abutments survive in good order. | |
