Bridge 413 - Ashby Magna Station

Bridge 413 - Ashby Magna Station

Go back to the records from the Dunton Bassett map.
L1973. Bridge 455 carrying Station Road over the old Ashby Magna Station site in May 1977. The tracks have been lifted and the platform and buildings have been demolished. The platform would have stretched southwards from the bridge towards the camera, with access being provided via a set of stairs from the platform to the centre of the bridge parapet (now filled in). The arched chamber in the centre of the bridge is the only reminder of the station's existence.
