L1958. Bridge 420 was a plate girder construction that carried Boneham Lane across the London Extension. This view was taken looking north in May 1977 and shows the bridge spanning a clean and clear trackbed, with only the bridge wing-walls being hidden by undergrowth. Immediately to the right of the picture, just out of shot, is the M1 motorway.
