L1919. Bridge 445 was situated just to the north of the River Avon crossing near Clifton Upon Dunsmore. It was one of several brick arch bridges on this section of line built by Topham, Jones & Railton. This east facing photograph taken in June 1977 shows the neglected condition of the bridge, eight years after the line's closure. The embankments are now tree covered and the bridge wing-walls are supporting undergrowth of their own. The parapet handrail was not an original feature and had been added at a later date.
