L1722. Constructing the bowstring girder bridge at Braunstone Gate, Leicester, circa 1897. This handsome structure formed part of the viaduct that carried the London Extension across much of the city. Henry Lovatt & Co. of Wolverhampton was the contractor who built this section of the Line (Contract No.2, Leake to Aylestone).
