| L1072. Hunslet Engine Co. built 0-6-0 saddletank locomotive, GROSVENOR, No. 288 of 1884, pictured at rest near Brackley in Buckinghamshire. At the time, the locomotive was working on Contract No. 5 (Woodford to Brackley) built by Walter Scott & Co. of Newcastle upon Tyne between 1894 and 1898. The locomotive's crew stand in relaxed postures on the footplate. Note the large rough cut stones in the foreground. | |
