Home time! The Paddy Mail transporting workers off the railway site.

This photograph shows a navvy train, or 'paddy mail' ferrying a group of men home from a hard days work on the railway in Brackley. The open topped structure displays the name of the contraction company - Walter Scott & Co. - responsible for construction of this section of the Extension. It is towed along by a contractor's locomotive bearing the name 'C. H. Stanton.'
