Ashby Magna Station, as seen on 28th April, 1969

Most of the London Extension's intermediate stations closed in 1963/64 after stopping services on the route were withdrawn. Fortunately, Ashby Magna was one of the stations that remained open until the line closed completely in 1969. This photograph was taken that year and shows the station buildings as seen from the south. The building nearest the camera is the toilet block, while the waiting rooms and booking offices are beyond. See on Route Map
