Bridge 419 near Bitteswell in Leicestershire. | |

| L1959 A broadside view of the three-arched Bridge 419, looking north in May 1977. The two running lines ran beneath the central arch of the bridge, which was designed so that extra lines could be laid through the side arches if required. The trackbed is still quite clear, although the cutting sides have a thick covering of foliage. The bridge itself shows signs of neglect and is missing several of the parapet coping stones. Note the soot marks on the centre arch. | |
